            NEGLECT  AND  PHYSICAL CHILD  ABUSE NEGLECT CHILD ABUSE Neglect of child abuse is a serious form of child abuse that occurs when a caregiver fails to provide for the basic needs of a child, such as food, clothing, shelter, medical care, and education. Neglect can also include failure to provide emotional support and nurturing, or to protect a child from harm.
